All is quiet on the North Eastern Front

Love Erie or hate it, everyone who has spent a month or more in this city can easily agree on one thing. ERIE RADIO SUCKS!!!

I dare you to disagree with me on this one, but in my opinion (and this is a bulleted list so I won't ramble)

-Country music is shit
-Christian radio should be abolished
-a city with more than 3 classic rock stations should never exist
-'Oldies' stations are past their primes (Lolz)
-Stations like Bob FM blow
-College radio is too unreliable

The only decent radio stations that Erie gets are the highly scrambled deligts that flow down from our hockey playing, beer swilling neighbors to the north, and even then the christian contemporary stations interfere with those signals.

I tell my friends who come to visit every once in awhile just to bring an iPod or good selection of cd's, because short of sunday mornings when 90.5 has the acoustic brunch, there is nothing worth listening to.

Some might say that I am just intolerant of other people's musical likings and to them I say 'No shit.' In fact to describe the type of music I actually do enjoy isn't too difficult. I believe that the 1990's was the epitome of what humans are just about capable of with modern bands consisting of guitars, drums, a bass or two and some vocals. I enjoy indy rap and the classics from the late 80's and early 90's. Pop music died with Jacko's Neverland ordeal and country music is just too painful on the eardrums to be heard. If I wanted to be preached to and told I'm going to hell, i would go to church, but seeing as how I don't the question comes up as to why I or anyone else would want to listen to that crap while they are driving to or from work, the grocery store, etc.

Here is a list of all the blunders that Citadel and others have allowed to disfigure this once fair musical city. Enjoy, and count how many things you utterly despise that you see.

I'll w00t! this when someone concurs, or tells me that I'm a blabbering idiot

I have to disagree about country music. But, I guess when you are born on a farm with chickens and pigs it reminds a person of home :) Think of country music as the music of the soul. It tells the truth of heartache and love. Best of all, country music has Billy Ray Cyrus and his classic.. "Achy Breaky Heart."
