The 's' stands for skinny.
In all the glory of this current presidential election, it is important that people do not forget the deliciousness of hometown politics. I am talking of course about the election for the third congressional district election betwixt incumbent Phil English and political rookie and mother of 5 Kathy Dahlkemper. I have had the privilege of meeting both candidates on more than one occasion due to my classes spring term '08 and my extremely interesting internship with WJET (Action News 24 this is Tim how can I help you?)
Now I will say this and y'all can be thankful or upset that I am not eligible to vote for this election, Phil English is a terrible person. I would not trust him with my garbage, let alone my congressional voice and yet this 3rd district that I am currently a prisoner of has kept him in office for 14 years. I feel as though Erie was on a downhill slope when I came here as a freshman and has really just continued on that same path for four years. I feel as though someone should have said 'WTF has Phil English done for us lately?' yet no one has.
Kathy Dahlkemper is a swift kick in the nuts to politics as it has been generally excepted I feel. For one she's not a huge fat old white guy, just in case you hadn't noticed, which i believe is a huge and rampant problem in today's political scene. Also she has done a lot of good for Erie and surrounding areas just because (http://www.leaferie.org/). I wish more people like her would stand up to incumbent, incredibly fat, cats (the placement of commas is meant to be that way I assure you) and take care of things that matter to the entire locale like cleaning up the lake and fighting against tire plants and such.
I believe, after watching the debate between the two at WQLN last thursday, that English is desparate and knows his time in office is growing short, which is why his advertisements have grown more ridiculous by the day.
That one is hilarious in my opinion.
In any event I have faith that the people of Northwestern PA will make the right choice come Nov. 4th, at least on the local level.
(PA doesn't need PE, lets get some KD up in this shit)
w00t!

This is because Erie votes for Democrats. The Mayor, Erie City Council and the Erie County Exec are all Dems. Erie County Council and the Erie School Board are controlled by Democrats.
